Prior to making legendary films such as A Clockwork Orange and Full Metal Jacket, filmmaker Stanley Kubrick was actually a relatively prominent photojournalist who shot for publications like Look Magazine. This collection of vintage photographs were shot in the 40s using a hidden camera placed inside Kubrick's coat and give us a candid look at life on the New York subway.
